Job summary

Lions Rehab Center in Cumberland, Maryland, seeks a compassionate CNA 1 to join our 101-bed skilled nursing team. You’ll assist residents with daily activities, support mobility and personal care, and work with licensed staff to ensure quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• CNA 1 Maryland credential required.
• Experience in long-term or skilled nursing care preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding).
• Monitor and document vital signs and health indicators.
• Report changes in residents' conditions promptly to nursing staff.
• Support residents’ emotional and social well-being with kindness and respect.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized care.
• Support the facility's philosophy of care and goals.
• Be sensitive to residents' families and respond professionally.
• Keep residents' bed, dresser, and living areas tidy and organized.
• Answer call lights promptly.

Lions Rehab Center is a 101-bed skilled nursing facility located in Cumberland, Maryland. We’re known for our friendly customer service and the exceptional care we provide our residents. We offer 24/7 skilled nursing care, rehabilitation, subacute care and other senior care services.

About the Role:

As a CNA 1, you’ll be on the front lines of quality elder care. You’ll work closely with our nursing staff to provide daily support and assistance to residents - helping with everything from personal hygiene and mobility to emotional support and companionship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding)

• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and other health indicators

• Report changes in residents' conditions promptly to nursing staff

• Support residents’ emotional and social well-being with kindness and respect

• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment

• Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to achieve its goals and objectives.

• Be sensitive to residents' families and respond in an appropriate professional way as the situation requires.

• Keep residents' bed, dresser, bathroom, and general living area clean and tidy.

• Answer call lights promptly.

Qualifications:

• CNA 1 in Maryland

• Previous experience in long-term or skilled nursing care preferred

• A genuine passion for caring for the elderly and vulnerable populations

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
