Job summary

SLP Operations, LLC in Abilene, TX is hiring Certified Nurse Aides for a full-time role in a long-term care setting under licensed nurse supervision.

The position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus for the period, next-day pay, salary match for qualified CNA rates, shift differential, paid time off, and comprehensive health benefits. You will provide direct resident care, assist with ADLs, transfers, meals, record keeping, and participate in training and team activities.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state certification as a CNA in good standing.
• Ability to interact positively with residents, families, and regulatory agencies.
• Willingness to work long or irregular hours.
• Must comply with health regulations and pass post-offer assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and changing linens.
• Transfer and reposition residents safely.
• Support and participate in resident activity programs.
• Prepare residents for meals, assist with feeding, and record intake.
• Follow care plans; perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures; monitor and report changes to the charge nurse; document care on resident records and flow sheets; and report accidents or incidents promptly.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation policies and promptly report injuries or violations to a supervisor.
• Understand, comply with, and promote all regulations and policies regarding resident rights, and encourage peer compliance.
• Foster positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and regulatory representatives while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Fully trained and capable of serving as a Transportation Aide.
• Participate in training, educational activities, staff meetings, and orientation of new peers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
