Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification from an accredited program.
• Experience with geriatrics or similar populations.
• Knowledge of vital signs, medical terminology and BLS.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (Cerner / eClinicalWorks).
• Ability to lift safely and assist with transfers.
• Strong communication with healthcare teams and families.
• Experience in long-term care or hospital settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities to promote independence and comfort.
• Take and record vital signs with accuracy and professionalism.
• Support safe transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
• Document care activities in EHR systems per HIPAA requirements.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly.
• Provide emotional support to patients, including those with dementia.
• Assist with procedures under supervision when qualified.
