Job summary

Silver Spring Health & Rehabilitation in Abilene, TX, is seeking a certified nursing assistant (CNA) full-time to deliver compassionate daily living support, monitor patients, and assist with hygiene, mobility and nutrition.

You will work with nursing staff to observe patient conditions, document care activities, and ensure safety in a hospital/long-term care setting. CNA certification and ability to pass screenings required.

A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Certified Nurse Assistant training program.
• Valid CNA certification/license as required by the state or local authority.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care techniques.
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings including immunizations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Support patients with mobility needs, including transferring, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Provide nutritional support by assisting with feeding and ensuring patients receive proper hydration.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment following infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient status, concerns, and changes in condition.
• Assist with basic medical procedures under supervision of RNs or LPNs.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in compliance with healthcare regulations.
