Job summary

CHI Health Missouri Valley is hiring a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to support patient comfort, safety, and recovery under RN direction.

Daily duties include basic care, patient transport, and contributing to the plan of care as part of the interdisciplinary team.

Successful candidates will have a 75-hour CNA course, CPR, and be committed to dignified, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Required to have completed the 75-hour state approved CNA course if hired.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (IA) upon hire.
• Basic Life Support CPR required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic patient care and transport under RN direction.
• Participate in the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Document cares in the patient record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support the patient plan of care.

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction.

• Under the direction and supervision of the Licensed Practitioner, RN or LPN, participates in the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
• Assessment - Contributes to the assessment of the health status of the healthcare consumer.
• Plan – Contributes to the plan of care through observation, data collection and communication of findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement – Provides basic patient care activities based on the plan of care and as delegated.
• Evaluate – Contributes to the evaluation of the healthcare consumer by observing responses to interventions and communicating findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Documents cares provided in the healthcare consumer’s record.
