Job summary

SPI is hiring a Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver / Warehouse in Connecticut to deliver and unload products at customer sites. You will also assist in the warehouse 20% of the time and handle inventory storage and distribution.

Starting shifts range from 5:30 am to 7:00 am, with a focus on safety and reliability. Ideal candidates are ≥18 with at least 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience (10,001–26,000 lbs) and a valid license.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (10,001-26,000 lbs).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to perform warehouse duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and unload finished products, parts and materials to customer locations.
• Assist in the warehouse to receive, store and distribute inventory.

Assist in the Warehouse as needed to receive, store and distribute inventory.Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle locally.Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting up 50 lbs. during physical loading/unloading of trucks.Excellent customer service skills- our drivers are the most important ambassadors of our company and build relationships with our customers.Able to read, write and understand English Language, as well as use navigation software.Shift schedule varies anywhere from 5:30 am to 7:00 am start.Assist in the warehouse 20% of the time.Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.Your QualificationsMinimum of 18 years of age.If operating a vehicle for company purposes, a valid driver's license is required.Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (10,001- 26,000 lbs vehicle).Acceptable Department of Motor Vehicle Record.Flexibility to perform warehouse duties as signed.THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITIONTravel RequirementsEighty (80%) percent of all work activities are performed inside the cab of the commercial vehicle. The remainder of work activities are performed outdoors.Physical RequirementsThis role requires prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Role also requires good hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity, and physical strength.
