Job summary

Actalent is seeking a CMT Technician I to perform field and laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will work with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to support construction quality assurance and safety compliance.

The role requires outdoor work on active construction sites, lifting equipment, and adherence to safety training standards. This onsite Austin-based position offers contract-to-hire opportunities with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Certified as an ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience in construction materials testing.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Willingness to work outdoors on active construction sites and lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials.
• Conduct site observations and inspections to verify compliance.
• Collect, label, document, and transport samples for lab analysis.
• Record test results and field data using reporting systems.
• Communicate results and project updates to stakeholders.
