Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager I to join the Houston field services team. You will manage a variety of projects, collaborating with senior engineers and field staff to meet deadlines and deliver quality results.

Responsibilities include budget management, invoicing, proposals, meetings with clients, and mentoring junior staff. The role offers growth opportunities and exposure to diverse projects within a leading geotechnical and materials testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology (note: some Tech/Construction Management degrees may not be eligible).
• Minimum of 2 full years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• PE or PG license in the state of practice.
• Strong marketing and client relationship skills.
• Excellent communication abilities (verbal and written).
• Sound understanding of heavy construction safety and ASTM CMT standards.

Responsibilities

• Support management of construction materials testing projects, including daily report review and mentoring field staff.
• Manage project budgets, prepare invoices and pay applications, assist with collections.
• Prepare proposals and change orders; host or attend client meetings and follow up on reports.
• Perform soil classifications and assign laboratory testing.
• Mentor junior staff and support overall team development.
