Job summary

ECS Limited in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Assistant Staff Project Manager. No prior experience is required; you will learn under seasoned professionals while supporting field tasks and the early stages of project management.

You will assist with field testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and more, document observations in daily reports, and collaborate with the project team and clients as site conditions change.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology.
• Role requires licensure readiness (PE/PG) in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with field tasks on CMT projects.
• Conduct field testing of soils, aggregates, foundations, concrete, asphalt, and related materials.
• Document site observations and test results in daily reports using CMT software.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients; inform team of changing site conditions.
• Learn soil classification and basic project management processes.
