Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Assistant Team Leader to join our Winchester team. You will mentor technicians, oversee field testing, and ensure safety and quality on construction sites.

Responsibilities include observing and testing soils, aggregates, concrete and related materials, coordinating field staff, and supporting project managers. This role offers professional development and access to industry certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Must have and be willing to maintain basic certifications.
• Advanced certifications may be required based on the work performed.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Good understanding of construction materials testing principles, applications, and ASTM testing standards.
• Proficient at data interpretation and evaluation of CMT techniques and results.

Responsibilities

• Field activities: perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials on construction sites.
• Maintain inventory and organize supplies; calibrate and maintain field equipment; promote safety and safety culture.
• Mentor and train junior field staff; support project managers and department managers; attend project meetings; participate in business development.
