Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in construction materials testing or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Earth Sciences, Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
• Obtain certifications applicable to field work as per policy.
• Valid driver's license required if driving for ECS.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field tasks supporting testing projects.
• Perform observation and testing activities with guidance from senior staff.
• Document site conditions and testing results.
• Communicate changes in site conditions or testing needs to project staff.
• Interact with contractors, technicians, and project team members on job sites.
• Begin learning soil classification and testing methods.
• Perform testing on soils, aggregates, foundations, concrete, masonry, structural steel, asphalt, and fireproofing with limited supervision.
• Assist with preparation of calculations, reports and documentation.
