Job summary

ECS Limited in McKinney, TX is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Assistant Team Leader to help supervise field staff and coordinate testing operations. This role blends field work with office duties, including technician scheduling, training, and equipment management.

The successful candidate will mentor field staff, promote safety, and ensure projects are completed accurately, safely, and on time while delivering strong client service.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiary.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Assist with management and coordination of field staff.
• Supports scheduling and staffing of technicians for project assignments.
• Mentors and trains field technicians to ensure competency and development.
• Promotes safety culture and PPE usage.
• Assists with safety training and compliance efforts.
• Performs field testing, observation, and inspection as needed.
• Communicates daily with technicians, project managers, and contractors.
• Assists with calibration and maintenance of field equipment and records.
• Supports inventory management for equipment and supplies.
• Attends project meetings and supports field coordination efforts.
• May assist with business development and client interaction.
