About the role:The CMS (Content Management System) Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end configuration, customization, implementation, and support of the Content Management System (CMS) selected for the client’s Website Modernization Project. This includes supporting the migration from Sitefinity, enabling multilingual content, search engine optimization (SEO), and implementing user access and editorial workflow controls.Location: RemoteProject Duration: 2.5 years, with potential for extensionWhat you'll do:- Analyze, design, develop, and implement the new look and feel, templates, and widgets of the new CMS
- Ensure that the new UI/UX is user-friendly and complies with the latest accessibility requirements
- Implement a CMS that supports auto provisioning of user (web content editors) access (add/remove)
- Simplify content creation and publishing for client content editors
- Organize and manage content to ensure it remains updated and relevant over time
- Ensure the platform is scalable to support enterprise-level sites with high traffic and complex workflows
- Migrate current website content, including navigation structures, page content, and data feeds, to the new CMS
- Integrate website analytics tools to monitor traffic and engagement
- Implement backup procedures and apply security measures to protect content and data
- Configure multilingual translation and search engine optimization (SEO) features within the CMS
What you'll need:- Experience: 7+ years of experience implementing and managing enterprise CMS platforms
- Technologies: Extensive experience working on various CMS platforms
- Strong understanding of content governance and editorial workflow design
- Experience with multilingual and accessible content design (WCAG 2.1 AA)
- Proficiency in SEO techniques and analytics integration
- Familiarity with CMS platform integration with external data feeds and APIs
- Ability to manage complex content migrations and train non-technical content editors
- Experience working with New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) or other municipal agencies is a plus
