Job summary

Rios Partners, LLC in Arlington, VA is seeking a Federal Health Consultant to lead the define-and-design phase of CMS dashboards and reports. You will work with CMS leadership to surface key questions, select metrics, and turn data into actionable targets that leaders can act on.

This hybrid role can be based at a client site in the DC metro area, the Arlington office, or remotely. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CMS/HHS experience (or 3+ years with a Master’s/PhD), plus strong data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of relevant CMS/HHS experience.
• Experience supporting CMS, HHS or other federal health agency programs.
• Experience in a product owner or requirements-development role, turning business needs into requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills, including data cleaning and documenting calculation logic
• Experience designing dashboards, reports or data visualizations
• Project management experience, including timelines, documentation and stakeholder communications
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Define key business questions with CMS leadership and select the operational metrics.
• Act as product owner for dashboard and reporting solutions; gather stakeholder needs and write requirements and user stories.
• Design dashboards and reports with intuitive, visually compelling designs.
• Analyze data quickly, clean data, and document calculations and business logic.
• Translate data into insights, recommendations and performance targets.
• Guide senior stakeholders through a standardized define-and-design process.
• Manage the work: document decisions, timelines and cross-team communications.
• Brief senior stakeholders with clear findings and recommendations.
• Build relationships with coworkers and clients; maintain a respectful, inclusive approach.
• Deliver results and move from analysis to implementation confidently.
