Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a CAD Designer - Structures to translate engineering input into high-quality, on-time drawings for large power generation equipment. This individual contributor role emphasizes model and drawing creation, BOM management, and adherence to GE Vernova processes.

You will work under engineers and Senior Designers, applying GD&T, SIM TO features, and PLM tools to deliver detailed drawings. The job requires 1 year CAD design or 5 years experience; mechanical design knowledge

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Create/maintain mechanical models and drawings for large Power Generation Equipment.
  • Create/maintain bill of materials.
  • Follow engineers and Senior Designers to complete designs and retrieve input information.
  • Execute design details per GE Vernova processes and documentation procedures.
  • Issue drawings, models and BOMs per GE Vernova processes.
  • Define/maintain schedules for design activities and communicate issues early.
  • Understand GD&T and GE Vernova drawing standards; produce high-quality drawings with SIM TO features.
  • Create detailed markups and new drawings; understand detailing processes/standards.
  • Understand part attributes and their functionality.
  • Proficient in PLM and mentor others in its use.

Job Description Summary The CAD Designer - Structures at GE Vernova is an individual contributor responsible for taking engineering input to create quality, on-time, world-class drawings.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
  • Ability to create / maintain mechanical models and drawings for large Power Generation Equipment.
  • Ability to create / maintain bill of materials.
  • Following direction from engineers and Senior Designers to complete designs: Retrieving design input information
  • Executing design details per standard GE Vernova practices and documentation procedures
  • Issuing drawings, models and Bill of Materials per documented GE Vernova processes
  • Help define/maintain and meet scheduled dates for design related activities, and provide early communication to alert management of issues.
  • Understand GD&T principles and GE Venova drawing standards and capable to create high quality detailed drawings with SIM TO products/features
  • Create detailed markups, create new drawings and have a full understanding of detailing processes/standards
  • Understanding of part attributes and their functionality
  • Proficient in PLM and able to mentor others in use of PLM
Basic Qualifications:

Additional Information
  • For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay for this position is $1,445.66 weekly.
