Job summary

3000 Micron Idaho Semiconductor Manufacturing (Triton) LLC in Boise, Idaho seeks a Senior CMP Process Engineer to start up, develop, and optimize CMP processes to improve product quality and yield. You will drive process yield improvements, cost reduction, productivity, and risk management while resolving manufacturing line problems.

Your expertise will contribute to high-quality semiconductor components critical to our customers' success, supporting collaboration with equipment and integration

Qualifications

• Experience in CMP processes with a strong understanding of wafer fabrication.
• Ability to analyze complex data and drive process improvements.
• Willingness to travel internationally for onboarding/training.

Responsibilities

• Start up, develop, and optimize CMP processes to improve product quality.
• Drive yield improvements, cost reduction, and productivity gains.
• Collaborate with equipment and integration engineers to resolve issues.
• Use project management to complete milestones addressing yield, defects, and cost.
• Drive improvements across SPC charts owned by the role.

Position Overview

As a Senior CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization) Process Engineer you will be primarily responsible for starting up, developing, and optimizing processes to improve product quality, driving process yield improvements, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems.

Your expertise will give to the production of high‑quality semiconductor components that are pivotal to our customers' success.

Responsibilities

• Strong process area knowledge
• DRAM development and manufacturing experience
• Collaborate with equipment engineers and integrations engineers to identify and resolve issues affecting production
• Use project management skills to complete project milestones that close yield, defectivity, production, and cost gaps
• Drive improvements across all SPC (statistical process control) charts that you own

Minimum Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience working as Process Owner within CMP BS or Masters in the Engineering field, equivalent military experience or AAS with 5+yr industry experience
• Willingness to travel internationally for onboarding and training purposes
• Good understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn
• Agentic AI to help developed efficient workflow

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a meticulous approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficient in Data Science and Programming skills
