Job summary

TSMC Washington in Camas, WA is seeking a Mechanical Equipment Engineer to enhance in-house equipment rebuilding and repair quality. You will work with cross-functional engineering and technician teams to maximize Fab tool availability, reduce costs, and meet manufacturing goals.

The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, 0–2 years of related experience, and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related STEM fields.
• Experience: Working knowledge in mechanical-related or semiconductor equipment is preferred.
• Demonstrate ability to operate diagnostics equipment and read electrical schematics; troubleshoot complex systems.
• Detail oriented with excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
• 0-2 years related experience; background check and drug screening required; must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Enhance in-house repair quality & capability, focused on mechanical equipment rebuilding.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and technicians to improve area/tool performance and meet goals.
• Support Fab tools availability and improve cost savings.
• Write rebuild procedures and train team members.
• Occasionally work in a clean room environment and be available for on-call support.
