TSMC, the global leader in semiconductor foundry technology, is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic CMPEquipment Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at TSMC WA. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career within a high-volume, state-of-the-art manufacturing environment. You will work alongside industry experts, receive hands‑on training, and contribute directly to the production of cutting‑edge semiconductor technology.
In this role you will support and be involved with troubleshooting, maintaining and improving technical CMP and automated handling equipment, components and assemblies.You will assist with all tasks related and assigned to the equipment group.You must be willing to learn new responsibilities as required and constructively work as a team with different types of technicians, engineers and managers. You will be responsible for tool installation, hook-up and acceptance as applicable. You will be expected to identify improvement opportunities to increase Equipment KPI. You will become certified on a variety of tool types and support and maintain spare parts inventory. Other responsibilities will be to check and utilize RTM (real time monitoring), SPC, Parts Tracking System, and other interrelated systems as applicable.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline or 8+ years of experience in CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization) Semiconductor technology.
Proven ability to rapidly assimilate complex technical information, coupled with strong leadership potential and a collaborative team‑oriented approach.
Exceptional tenacity, adaptability, and resilience in a demanding, high‑volume production setting.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to precision in all aspects of work.
Superior critical thinking, strategic planning, and problem‑solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and execute complex action plans effectively.

This position operates on-site at our Camas, Washington location during core business hours, Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm; however, there may be occasions when additional hours are necessary to meet project demands.
At TSMC, your base pay is just one component of your comprehensive compensation package. For new hires in this position, the starting salary typically ranges between $87,000 and $106,764 per year. The full salary range for this Job Grade extends from$87,000 - $115,580depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, education, experience, tenure, and position level. TSMC’s total compensation package also includes market-competitive pay, profit sharing and incentive bonuses, and tuition assistance.
