General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a CMOP Lead to support VA’s Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy operations.

You will oversee database uptime, performance, and cross-site coordination to ensure reliable pharmacy workflows that impact Veteran care. You will lead incident response, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with regional and national CMOP teams, maintaining security, compliance, and 24x7 on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of related experience.
• Experience leading mission-critical database environments.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and/or Oracle databases (tuning, patching, upgrades).
• Experience supporting production environments with 24x7 demands.
• Ability to analyze issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Responsabilités

• Oversee operations for ~700 CMOP databases across seven sites with 5,000–7,000 daily users.
• Ensure 99.9% database uptime during production operations.
• Coordinate installation, configuration, upgrades, tuning, patching, and monitoring.
• Direct incident response and 24x7 on-call coverage to resolve urgent issues.
