Job summary

Fathom Robotics, based in Fort Worth, TX, seeks a part-time CMMC Compliance & IT Support Specialist to lead NIST 800-171/CMMC Level 2 efforts while providing hands-on IT support for our team.

The role emphasizes compliance workload with some IT duties, working closely with the Chief Administrative Officer and external IT providers. This position is hybrid, ~20 hours per week, US Person required and SECRET eligible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in cybersecurity compliance, IT security, or systems administration with DoD context.
• Experience writing and maintaining an SSP and POA&M.
• Knowledge of DFARS 252.204-7012, CUI handling, and CMMC assessment process.
• Proficiency with Windows endpoints, Microsoft 365 admin, and networking fundamentals.
• Excellent written documentation and ability to explain security requirements clearly to non-technical teammates.

Responsibilities

• Lead CMMC Level 2 compliance efforts and maintain SSP/POA&M.
• Coordinate evidence collection for third-party assessments (C3PAO) and act as primary contact.
• Perform continuous monitoring of security controls and manage SPRS score.
• Review vendor and cloud service provider compliance, including FedRAMP status.
• Deliver security awareness training and assist in incident response.
