Job summary

Charles IT in Providence, RI is seeking a CMMC Client Advisor to guide clients through CMMC readiness, map compliance gaps to business objectives, and align cyber controls with strategic needs.

You will translate complex standards for executives, manage remediation roadmaps, and build lasting client relationships while collaborating with internal teams; a US driver's license and ability to travel ~47 hours/week may apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT consulting, cybersecurity, compliance, or technical account management.
• Demonstrated experience with CMMC compliance, NIST SP 800-171, cybersecurity frameworks, or regulatory initiatives.
• Experience communicating with clients and business leaders to assess requirements and outline actionable strategies.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and security documentation.
• Preferred certifications such as CCP, CCA, Security+, CISSP.
• Familiarity with ConnectWise and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to assigned clients, aligning CMMC compliance with business objectives and security requirements.
• Communicate CMMC requirements, risks, and recommendations to technical teams and executives.
• Assess client environments to identify gaps, evaluate practices, and propose improvements.
• Develop and maintain CMMC compliance roadmaps and remediation plans.
• Build relationships, be the primary contact for guidance and escalations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define remediation priorities and support implementations.
• Lead client meetings and reviews to discuss progress, risks, and next steps.
• Provide guidance on documentation, policies, and evidence for assessments.
• Monitor changes to CMMC requirements and relay updates to clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
