Job summary

Alfa Laval seeks a Quality Inspector to ensure reliable, on-time inspection of spare parts using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) on-site in Indianapolis, IN. You will set up the CMM, perform inspections per Quality Inspection Plans, and support compliance with standards.

You will also apply Lean Six Sigma tools to improve safety, quality, delivery and costs, while adhering to SOPs and contributing to team goals.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Experience using a CMM to inspect drawings with GD&T.
• Proficiency with hand measuring tools and basic MS Office.
• Knowledge of Lean Six-Sigma tools (5S, DMAIC, Kaizen, SOPs).
• Ability to work with compliance standards and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMM for spare part inspection per applicable standards.
• Inspect parts per Quality Inspection Plans using hand tools.
• Perform weld inspection per ANSI/ASNT CP-105 requirements.
• Follow SOPs and document results accurately.
• Backfill inspections and support continuous improvement initiatives.
