Job summary

Alfa Laval in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure reliable, on-time inspection of spare parts using the Mitutoyo CMM. You will set up the CMM and perform inspections per the Quality Inspection Plan, contributing to the team’s success.

You will work onsite, follow SOPs, and apply Lean Six Sigma tools to improve safety, quality, delivery and costs. A high school diploma or GED and 1+ years of CMM experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of using a CMM to inspect against drawings with GD&T.
• Proficient with hand measuring tools and MS Office.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and SOPs is preferred.
• Strong problem solving, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use Mitutoyo CMM to inspect spare parts per quality plans.
• Set up CMM for each spare part and perform compliance checks.
• Inspect according to Quality Inspection Plans and standards.
• Follow SOPs and assist with additional inspections as needed.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to improve safety, quality, delivery and costs.
