Job summary

Belcan is seeking a 2nd shift Quality Inspector in East Granby, CT to perform final inspection of aerospace engine parts. You will measure features, interpret blueprints, and ensure parts meet customer requirements.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of aerospace or manufacturing inspection experience. Proficiency with GDT, gages, micrometers, and CMMs (PC-DMIS or MODUS highly desirable) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and repair manuals to customer specs.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, gages, micrometers, and other measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection of aerospace engine parts.

• Ensure inspected parts meet criteria and document results.
• Complete paperwork for any defective parts requiring rework.

Schedule: Onsite - 2nd Shift M-F 3:30pm-12:00am

Pay Rate: $ 30-$38/hour (+ 15% shift differential for 2nd shift)

A 2nd shift Quality Inspector job is available with a manufacturing client in East Granby, CT. The individual will perform final inspection of finished aerospace engine parts and components. A High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required along with 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace or general manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Final inspection of finished aerospace engine parts and components
• Measure various features and holes on part or component and determine if the part is acceptable to customer requirements
• Inspection includes visual and dimensional using requited gaging and measuring equipment
• Interpret operation sheets and blueprints meet customer criteria for an acceptable part
• Ensure that all parts being inspected meet criteria for an acceptable part
• If a part is defective or needs re-work, Inspector must complete required paperwork associated with this task

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace or general manufacturing environment is a plus
• Previous experience performing dimensional and visual inspection in an aerospace environment
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, blueprints, repair manuals, and customer specifications
• Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools
• A strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required
• Proficiency in operating CMMs using PCDMIS and/ or MODUS software (highly desirable)
• Previous experience performing incoming, in process, or final inspections in a turbine engine repair environment (highly desirable)

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required
