DRT Aerospace in Winsted, CT is hiring for a Utility Worker- Inspection on the 11 PM–7:30 AM shift. This direct hire role offers long-term stability in a clean, climate-controlled aerospace manufacturing facility with paid training on advanced inspection technologies like ZEISS ATOS 3D Blue Light Scanning and Hexagon CMM systems.

The position requires manufacturing experience; you will load/unload CNC-machined components, support production, perform visual inspections, and assist with CMM

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, machining, production, warehouse, or industrial experience.
• Experience working with automated or computerized equipment.
• Experience handling, processing, or inspecting precision metal parts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to identify defects and inconsistencies.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions.
• Strong reliability and attendance record.
• Ability to stand and perform hands-on work throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload aerospace CNC-machined components
• Support production flow and machine operators
• Perform visual inspection for defects and nonconformance
• Use calipers, micrometers, and precision gauges
• Prepare parts for inspection (cleaning, deburring, fixturing)
• Assist with ZEISS ATOS 3D Blue Light Scanning systems
• Support CMM (Hexagon) inspection processes
• Maintain 5S workplace organization and safety standards

This is not an entry‑level role. Manufacturing experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing background
