Job summary

The Atlas Group in Park City, KS seeks a CMM Programmer to design DMIS programs for customer parts and shop tooling, and to generate reliable setup documentation for production.

You will collaborate with the manufacturing planner and CNC shop personnel, validate programs, troubleshoot issues, maintain programming masters, and contribute to lean manufacturing improvements. A solid GD&T understanding, ability to read drawings, and CAD/CAM proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading customer drawings.
• Strong knowledge of CMM programming and DMIS.
• Experience operating portable measuring equipment.
• Thorough understanding of GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Designs and creates DMIS (CMM) programs for customer parts.
• Designs and creates DMIS (CMM) programs for shop aid tooling.
• Provides accurate CMM setup documentation.
• Validates CMM programs prior to production release using CMM software.
• Approves and places CMM programs and setup information in the operator file.
• Troubleshoots CMM programming related problems.
• Participates in troubleshooting on production related problems.
• Upkeeps and maintains master files of programming.
• Optimizes cycle time for cost effectiveness.
• Integrates improved/ new technology to stay productive.
• Participates in lean manufacturing improvement processes.
• Proposes feasible solutions for future process improvements.
