Job summary

Actalent seeks a CMM Programmer to program coordinate measuring machines and perform precise inspections of machined and welded metal components. You will collaborate with Engineering and Production to resolve issues and maintain rigorous quality records in a fast-paced production environment.

You will work with PC-DMIS, Hexagon arms, and Zeiss CMM systems, performing first piece to final inspections and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience.
• Proficiency in GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and welding symbols.
• 3+ years inspecting machined parts, welded fabrications, and sheet metal.
• Skilled with precision metrology tools.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Program CMMs to inspect machined and welded components per specs.
• Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Use gauges, calipers, micrometers to verify dimensions.
• Inspect semi-finished and finished goods for conformance to drawings.
• Document defects and nonconformances and report findings.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to resolve issues.
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and welding symbols for inspection requirements.
• Maintain accurate quality records and compliance documentation.
• Support continuous improvement by recommending process enhancements.
