Job summary

Abbott in Irving, Texas, is seeking a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programmer/Operator to inspect inbound material, program CMMs, and ensure quality per GMP and ISO 13485 standards. The role requires hands-on expertise with GD&T and documentation control.

You will collaborate with engineers to resolve drawing issues, maintain equipment, and support manufacturing with high-precision metrology across multiple stages of production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in increasingly difficult inspection.
• Experience programming CMM quality inspections.
• Solid understanding of GD&T for CMM applications.
• IPC knowledge/training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports manufacturing and testing operations under GMP/GLP.
• Program and run CMMs; inspect inbound material for complex devices.
• Interpret drawings and define inspection methods for parts.
• Maintain CMM hardware and software to peak performance.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve drawing issues and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with FDA/ISO 13485 quality systems.
