Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing. is seeking a quality/metrology professional for the Spartanburg, SC plant. You will plan layouts, operate a CMM lab, program CMMs, certify gauges and tools, and contribute to process capability studies to verify materials and products.

The role requires a BS degree and 1–2 years of related experience, with GD&T training and proficiency in metrology tools. Labor conditions include a first shift in Spartanburg with strong focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field.
• Advance GD&T training and metrology knowledge.
• 1–2 years related experience or training; quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs proper layout information for all products using customer required reporting formats.
• Operates and maintains lab and equipment including CMM, gauge certifications, and hand tool calibrations.
• Responsible for programming and operating CMM machines.
• Conducts process capability studies and other scientific methods to verify industrial processes, material, and products.
• Maintains lab housekeeping and supports PPAP submissions.
