CMM Programmer and Operator

We are actively seeking a skilled CMM Programmer and Operator with extensive experience in Calypso and PC‑DMIS software. This is a non‑exempt full‑time assignment located in Torrance, CA. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Quality.

Position: CMM Programmer and Operator. Responsibilities and duties include:
• Program CMMs using Calypso and PC‑DMIS software to conduct precise and efficient inspections aligned with product specifications.
• Collaborate closely with quality assurance, manufacturing, and engineering teams to maintain accurate setups and programs.
• Provide training to CMM machine operators and address questions or issues related to CMM operations.
• Work on special projects involving tooling fixtures and gauges alongside manufacturing engineers.
• Implement and uphold robust quality assurance processes to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with aerospace and company quality standards.
• Offer technical guidance and support to junior quality assurance personnel and CMM operators.
• Stay informed on the latest industry advancements, technologies, and best practices in CMM programming and quality assurance.
• Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other related materials to ensure accuracy in measurements and inspections.
• Revise and optimize programs for maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
• Promote a “Built‑in Quality” culture by identifying non‑conformances and preventing defects from reaching downstream customers.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CMM programming.
• Demonstrated expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficient in programming and operating CMMs using both PC‑DMIS and Calypso software.
• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills for Zeiss CMM machines.
• Solid technical knowledge and hands‑on experience with measurement tools and equipment.

Compensation & Benefits: Salary increases twice a year.
