Job summary

TotalEnergies seeks a quality technician to measure and report on projects, assist in PPAP preparation, and support engineering in evaluating prototype parts. Strong measurement skills and familiarity with geometric tolerances and SPC are required. You will interact with suppliers and production teams to ensure control and quality of parts.

Role emphasizes collaboration across tool room, engineering, and manufacturing environments with attention to detail and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent.
  • Two years related experience in theory and application of complex layout and/or training.
  • Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders and document measurements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, measure, organize, record and report on projects being measured.
  • Assist in preparing PPAP for customer approval.
  • Assist Product Engineering in evaluating prototype metals and molded parts.
  • Communicate with suppliers on dimensional trends.
  • Support tool room on measurements of molds or cavities.
  • Support production with ongoing capability studies on current parts.
  • Measure and prepare written reports on new samples from suppliers.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with Quality, Continuous Process Improvement, Product engineering, and other plant and office personnel. Attention to detail and accuracy. Must have good computer skills with a working knowledge of geometric tolerances, SPC, SAE handbook usage, gage control programs, and quality control procedure. Must understand how to prepare, measure, organize, record and report on projects being measured in a manufacturing environment.

EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent; and two years related experience in theory and application of complex layout and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Valid Driver’s License and possible Hi-lo License
