Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a skilled CMM Operator for a full-time, contract-to-hire role in Mountainhome, PA. You will set up, program, and operate CMM equipment to perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections.

You will interpret drawings and GD&T, create and troubleshoot Calypso programs, document results, and support root-cause actions and continuous improvement. The role requires 1+ years of CMM programming experience and aerospace/defense/precision machining background; on-site

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years' experience with CMM programming.
• Experience in aerospace/defense/automotive/precision machining.
• Experience with FAIRs, PPAPs, and AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.

Job description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a CMM Operator.

Position type: Full-time, Contract to possible extension or hire Duration: 9 Months Location: Mountainhome, Pennsylvania 18326 Shifts: Monday - Friday (Core Hours are 7:30am-4:30pm).

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CMM equipment to perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, models, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Create, modify, and troubleshoot CMM programs (e.g., Calypso).
• Perform dimensional analysis using micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and other precision instruments.
• Document inspection results and generate reports for quality records, FAIRs, and customer submissions.
• Identify nonconformances and communicate findings to engineering, production, and quality teams.
• Support root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain calibration of inspection tools and follow all standard work, safety procedures, and quality system requirements.
• Assist with training operators and inspectors on print reading and measurement techniques.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent
• 1+ years' experience with CMM programming.
• Aerospace, defense, automotive, or precision machining background.
• Experience with FAIRs, PPAPs, and AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
• This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.
