Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a CMM Inspector (Starship) to perform precision inspection of flight hardware and components. The role involves programming and setting up CMMs/Faro-like arms, interpreting engineering drawings, and ensuring conformance to SpaceX specifications.

The candidate will work Monday–Friday with overtime as needed, at our SpaceX facility in the United States. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in precision inspection, experience with CMM programming (PC-DMIS) and Romer Arm, and a solid

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency.
3+ years of precision mechanical inspection experience.
3+ years of programming and running CMM or Faro Arm experience.

Responsibilities

Select and utilize standard gauges to ensure quality and inspect tolerances.
Perform complex inspections on mechanical parts, components, assemblies and materials.
Program and setup CMMs (e.g., Romer Arm) to achieve desired inspections.
Review documentation and verify certifications and conformance to drawings and specs.
Inspect flight hardware at supplier per engineering drawings and SpaceX specs.
Support development of inspection plans at suppliers and assist corrective actions.
