Job summary

IES is seeking a CMM Inspector in Manitowoc, WI to perform dimensional inspections of manufactured components using CMMs, precision tools, and GD&T standards. You will verify conformity, document results, and support continuous quality improvement.

You will develop inspection programs, interpret drawings, calibrate equipment, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to drive product quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of dimensional inspection or quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating CMM equipment and interpreting inspection reports.
• Utilizes FARO portable metrology equipment to verify dimensional compliance and support quality standards.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect first articles, in-process parts, and final products to verify conformance.

• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
• Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming conditions.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
• Assist with calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve product quality.

SummaryThe CMM Inspector is responsible for performing dimensional inspections of manufactured components using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), precision measuring instruments, and established quality standards. This position verifies product conformity, supports manufacturing operations, and helps drive continuous improvement in quality performance.
