Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is seeking a CMM operator to load castings, run automated measurement programs, and ensure dimensional accuracy against tech cards and specifications.

You will interpret inspection results, flag nonconformities, prepare layout reports, and maintain logs while adhering to safety rules and PCC quality standards.

Training is provided; forklift and safety certifications may be required; this role supports aerospace components manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, follow and interpret SOPs, QC manuals, and technical specs.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; geometry and trigonometry preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to perform geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) preferred.
• Computer data entry and operation experience; programming experience (TBO) optional.
• Effective written and oral communication; able to work safely.

Responsibilities

• Position castings on the automated CMM according to instructions.
• Load and initiate appropriate programs per tech cards or SOPs.
• Operate CMM equipment and respond to computer instructions and errors.
• Review inspection printouts for dimensional compliance with specs.
• Generate and maintain reports and documentation of inspections.
