Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a CMM Programmer – Level 2 to advance quality through CMS programming, CAD modeling, and process improvements. You will program CMS from CAD or drawings, troubleshoot, and lead project efforts.

Shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm; reporting to the Quality Inspection Supervisor. Strong CAD, CMM, and problem solving skills, plus ability to train inspectors and guide projects, are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum two (2) years experience in CMS programming.
Expert level CAD skills and CMS programming ability.
Understanding of CMM language, software and hardware (CMM Manager, DMIS).
Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
Experience leading, coaching, and guiding other employees.
Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail.
Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to read technical procedures and write reports and manuals.

Responsibilities

Program CMS online or offline from CAD model or drawing.
Create solid CAD model from drawing.
Troubleshoot and prove out new products or programs.
Propose and implement processes to improve quality, velocity, efficiency or cost.
Interface with customers and suppliers; train inspectors in CMS operation.
Lead new product development projects as needed.
May perform responsibilities of CMS I or Quality Inspector IV as required.
