Job summary

ABB E-mobility seeks a CMF Technical Designer to translate CMF concepts into robust, production-ready solutions. You will align with CMF Lead and cross-functional teams to ensure consistency across materials, colors, and finishes.

You will organize color masters, CMF specs, and digital docs, support feasibility assessments, and champion CMF perceived quality with suppliers and engineering. A strong, collaborative, technically minded professional with color vision is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in Design, Design Engineering (materials focus), Material Engineering, or Quality Management.
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing or material supply (automotive, consumer electronics, metals, plastics, coatings a plus).
• Strong understanding of production feasibility (metal, plastic, coatings, surface treatments).
• Experience in quality management, perceived quality, technical CMF mastering, or similar fields.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain color masters, CMF documentation, and the material library.
• Define, update, and manage CMF specifications, guidelines, and digital documentation.
• Support CMF feasibility assessments and assist with production rollout.
