Rivian is seeking a Senior CMF Designer to shape the aesthetic vision for vehicles, accessories, and energy products. You will lead CMF concepts from trend research to material development within Rivian Design Studio, collaborating across teams to translate brand philosophy into tangible experiences.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, material innovation, and the use of modern visualization tools to push sustainable design across our product ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Portfolio required showcasing CMF workflows (trend research, material swatches, digital renders, and conceptual design stories).
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in CMF Design, Industrial Design, Textile Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design, or equivalent.
• 3–4+ years of professional CMF or related design experience with a portfolio showing strong concept development and execution.

Responsibilities

• Ecosystem execution: develop CMF strategies across interiors, exteriors, and Adventure Products for cohesive brand language across touchpoints.
• Trend research & forecasting to inform CMF palettes and strategies.
• Benchmarking across automotive, consumer electronics, and lifestyle industries to identify opportunities and set high baselines.
