Job summary

Ford Design’s Color & Material team seeks a CMF Designer to lead exterior and interior CMF solutions, guiding concept development and ensuring seamless integration into vehicle design. You will present design intent through compelling digital and physical samples and collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate feasibility.

With CMF expertise and a strong portfolio, you’ll influence future Ford models, including EVs and trucks, while contributing to a hybrid, collaborative work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Industrial Design or related field with CMF focus.
• 2 years' experience with Master's degree or 5 years with a Bachelor's.
• Automotive CMF design experience required; strong portfolio.
• Proficient in 3D visualization and Adobe Suite tools.

Responsibilities

• Create, curate, and deliver CMF solutions for exterior and interior.
• Ideate CMF concepts with narrative, functionality, and user experience.
• Ensure CMF integration with vehicle design across stages.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to validate feasibility.
• Develop digital and physical CMF presentations showing design intent.
• Support programs to meet timing and deliverables.
