Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Quality Lead focused on appearance (color, material, finishes) for roles involving collaboration with internal customers and external suppliers to achieve vehicle harmony. You will evaluate production parts for GM Masters and standards, coordinate color/grain/gloss reviews in Warren and at vehicle assembly plants, and document AARs and Vehicle Harmony status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Polymer Science & Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or related field.
• Four (4) years of experience in appearance-related quality, CMF (Color, Material, Finishes) background, or related role.
• Experience with color, grain, gloss, and vehicle harmony to meet appearance requirements; plastics, paint, metal finishes knowledge; CAD/3D visualization software usage.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal customers and external suppliers to achieve vehicle harmony.
• Coordinate appearance reviews (color/grain/gloss) in Warren and at Vehicle Assembly Plants.
• Document AARs and Vehicle Harmony program status.
• Resolve appearance issues in PPAP appearances and vehicle harmony with GM teams and suppliers.
• Support globalization of the Appearance Harmony Process.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
