Job summary

University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) is seeking a Medical Education Program Specialist - CME in Peoria, IL. This on-site role supports the coordination of Continuing Medical Education activities, collaborates with faculty, and ensures ACCME compliance across CME programs.

The position reports to Academic Affairs and requires strong clerical skills, organization, and knowledge of medical education processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years total experience through college coursework, associate, or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent clerical/secretarial experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities and serve as liaison for physicians, residents, and local hospitals.
• Implement ACCME requirements and maintain CME schedules and materials.
• Prepare and distribute CME program materials and reports for review by advisory committees.
• Maintain confidential CME records and ensure accuracy for accreditation reporting.
• Assist with orientation of new CME staff and coordinate fellowships and scholars programs.
• Schedule meetings, track attendance, and manage action items for CME committees.
