Job summary

GE Aerospace in Asheville seeks a CMC Technician – Level C to support high‑performance, self‑directed teams manufacturing advanced ceramic matrix composite components. You will follow standardized work across fabrication and machining processes, complete EHS and quality training, and maintain accurate records to ensure safe, high‑quality parts for aviation applications.

You'll contribute to continuous improvement, participate in safety and quality audits, and rotate through process areas such as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Flexibility to adjust schedules for training, as required.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; pre-employment checks including background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Complete required training for each assigned fabrication or machining process; complete all compliance and EHS training
• Actively contribute to a high performance, self directed work team; participate in safety and/or quality audits
• Execute production tasks across multiple CMC process areas, as trained and qualified, which may include: Gerber table cutting equipment; Lay up; Furnace operations: autoclave, burnout, melt infiltration; Grit blasting; CNC machine operation; Non conventional machining; Visual and machine inspection
• Follow standard work, safety procedures, and quality requirements; accurately record operations and production data
• Support problem solving and continuous improvement to enhance Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
