Job summary

GE Aerospace—Asheville CMC seeks a Lead Quality Engineer to oversee product quality reviews and ensure compliance with GE Aerospace quality systems. You will lead cross-functional teams, establish inspection plans, and drive zero-defect launches in a high-stakes manufacturing environment.

Role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent manufacturing experience, plus at least 3 years in manufacturing or a GE Leadership Program graduate. Comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience or GE Leadership Program graduate in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products and services meet quality standards and manufacturing processes are capable and qualified.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and apply it to policy/strategy.
• Understand key business drivers and how team work integrates with others to achieve goals.
• Offer judgment and propose solutions outside set parameters with guidance.
• Provide informal guidance to new team members and lead problem solving on the shop floor.
• Lead quality improvements using FLIGHT DECK and establish inspection plans for CMC hardware.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure zero-defect launches aligned with Zero-Defect initiative.
• Protect SQDC with emphasis on Safety and Quality on the shop floor.
