Job summary

PGIM, Newark, NJ, invites a seasoned CMBS research professional to join the Securitized Products group. Analyze CMBS transactions, monitor collateral, and contribute to investment decision‑making beside portfolio management.

The role emphasizes building models, maintaining internal credit views, and engaging with market participants. A bachelor’s degree and 4–7 years in fixed income or securitized products are expected; hybrid work and a competitive compensation package are offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
4–7 years in fixed income or securitized products.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Experience with Python, Power BI, or Tableau.
Proficiency in Excel and large datasets.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Interest in capital markets and CMBS.

Responsibilities

Analyze CMBS transactions across new issue and secondary markets.
Develop internal credit views and relative value assessments for CMBS investments.
Build models, scenario analyses, and visualization tools for CRE markets.
Assign and maintain internal credit ratings and monitor risk.
Review transaction documents, offering materials, third‑party reports, and deal structures.
Monitor portfolio holdings and market developments affecting risk and return.
Partner with portfolio managers, traders, and other research teams to formulate investment recommendations.
Engage with issuers, dealers, servicers, rating agencies, trustees, and other market participants.
Contribute to internal presentations and client-facing CMBS market themes.
