Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks an Analyst to support the CMBS Capital Markets team responsible for origination, securitization, rating and primary distribution of CMBS and CRE CLO transactions.

You will interface with origination, trading, legal, rating agencies and investors; review loan docs, run data tapes, and analyze mortgages and properties. Strong quantitative skills and Excel/PowerPoint proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in structured finance, processing MBS/CMBS transactions.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a finance-related field such as Economics, Finance, Engineering or Mathematics.
Firm understanding of finance principles and quantitative modeling.
Ability to analyze large market data and incorporate findings into valuation models.
Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
Creative problem solving under pressure and strong attention to detail.
Clear, logical thinker with strong quantitative abilities.
Excellent prioritization and self-management skills.
Effective communication with partners, clients and rating agencies.
Strong team player.

Responsibilities

Interfacing with origination teams, trading desks, counsel, rating agencies, and investors to manage securitization.
Reviewing loan documentation and due diligence to prepare data tapes and term sheets.
Analyzing underlying mortgages and properties in CMBS/CLO contexts.
Marketing primary issuance securitizations to investors.
Collaborating with financial institutions, REITs, private equity and hedge funds to execute securitizations.
