Job summary

JPMorganChase, a leading global financial institution, seeks an Analyst to join the CMBS Capital Markets team. You will support securitization, rating, structure and primary distribution of CMBS, CRE CLOs, and other CRE-backed transactions across U.S. markets.

You will interface with origination teams, rating agencies and investors, analyze loan documentation, and help market securitizations to a diverse client base including private equity funds and institutional investors.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in structured finance, processing MBS/CMBS transactions.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in a finance-related field such as Economics, Finance, Engineering or Mathematics.
• Firm understanding of the principles of finance, business operations, and mathematical and/or statistical modeling.
• Ability to collect and analyze large amounts of market information, extract its essence and incorporate the findings into valuation models and processes.
• Strong user of widely used technical tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
• Creative problem solver with ability to perform well under pressure.
• Clear, logical thinker with strong quantitative abilities.
• Detail oriented, with a highly disciplined approach to process and quality control.
• Ability to learn quickly, multi-task and self-manage priorities.
• Effective communication skills to interact functional partners, clients and rating agencies.
• Strong team player

Responsibilities

• Interfacing with J.P. Morgan’s commercial mortgage origination team, CMBS trading desk, external legal counsel, rating agencies, accountants and investors in order to manage the securitization process
• Reviewing loan documentation and due diligence to prepare transaction data tapes and summary term sheets
• Analyzing underlying mortgages and real estate properties in conjunction with the execution of CMBS and CLOs
• Marketing primary issuance fixed rate, floating rate, NPL and CLO securitizations to potential investors
• Working with a variety of clients (financial institutions, REITs, private equity funds and hedge funds) to execute bespoke commercial real estate securitizations on a principal or agented basis
