Job summary

Ephraim McDowell Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support reception, scheduling, and front-office duties in the Central Kentucky Surgeons Clinic. This full-time, 1st-shift role is based at EM Central KY Surgeons.

Under supervision, you will assist providers, maintain nursing and front-office schedules, and contribute to patient education and coordinated care. A CMA credential and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Preferred one (1) year CMA experience in clinical setting with previous work history considered.
• Graduate of an accredited CMA training program.
• Current CMA Certificate in the State of Kentucky. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (successful completion within three [3] months of employment).

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors in a positive, professional manner.
• Schedules appointments per protocol and maintains patient flow.
• Assists with examinations, procedures, and administration of medications as directed.
• Prepares charts, paperwork, and processes patient payments and deposits.
