Job summary

Lexington Medical Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to join the patient care team. The role supports patient intake, documentation, vaccine administration, and clerical tasks under a Provider’s direction.

The CMA/RMA assists with scheduling, medical record upkeep in EPIC EHR, and may serve as a provider’s scribe as needed. A relevant certification and BLS are required or must be obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required and completion of an accredited medical assisting program or equivalent is preferred.
• Current active certification or registry in Medical Assisting from an approved certifying body is required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake, documentation, vaccine and medication administration.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision of a Provider.
• Enter and verify patient information in Epic and maintain accurate medical records.
