Job summary

Quality Correctional Care (QCC) is seeking a Quality Medical Technician to provide essential medical services at Bartholomew County Jail in Columbus, Indiana. The role supports compassionate, protocol-driven care during a 7 PM to 7 AM shift, three nights per week with alternating weekends.

You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with medical staff to ensure patient safety. Ideal candidates have CPR certification and at least 6 months in healthcare, with EMT/QMA/CMA

Qualifications

• Active CPR certification is required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in the medical field.
• EMT, QMA, or CMA certification highly preferred.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to push, pull, reach and bend frequently.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications.
• Obtain vital signs.
• Assist during sick call using medical protocols.
• Communicate with the facility or on-call Medical Provider.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be able to perform life-saving measures.
• Collect laboratory specimens as needed.
• Follow the “Rules of 100” and provide patient care as specified.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in patient charts.

Shift Opening(s): 7 PM to 7 AM, 3 nights per week with every other weekend rotation
