Job summary

Rockhill Women's Care in the Kansas City area is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our physician-owned OB/GYN practice with 12 female providers. This full-time role offers Monday–Friday schedules, a competitive benefits package, and starting wage between $17.50 and $20.00 per hour.

You will welcome patients, prepare them for visits, assist providers, handle labs, meds, and documentation in the EMR while maintaining HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
• OB/GYN experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in person and by telephone with professionalism and compassion
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for visits and procedures
• Obtain vital signs, medical histories, and verify visit information
• Assist providers during exams and minor office procedures
• Prepare and process laboratory specimens
• Administer medications as directed
• Process prescription refill requests per provider instructions
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
• Accurately document information within the electronic medical record system
• Maintain exam room and medical supply inventory
• Help create a safe, organized, and efficient clinical environment
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA guidelines
• Support coworkers and contribute to a positive team culture
